Radio Adventure

 

 

Last Sept. 17, 2012 we, the Group 3 of 202A class went to ABS-CBN for our radio visit project. At first we find it hard to contact people to accomodate us on a radio visit and observation, there's a lot problem that we encountered but I think It's part of the adventure. We came to ABS-CBN I think around 9:00AM already because of traffic and stuffs but the sad thing about that is we didn't able to enter the station immediately because the 2 contact person we have is both on a leave, thank God we have another back up contact person. We are all embarrassed about what happen because it's not that easy and near going to ABS-CBN that's why we ate at a restaurant in front of Esguerra gate of ABS-CBN. While waiting for our contact person, by the way his name is Mr. Alex Cachola, super thanks to him because he saved our day! We ate a lot and after lunch we finally entered the ABS-CBN and it's so nice that they were very accommodating and welcoming. They entertained us at Tambayan 101. 9 first while waiting for the DZMM, we met DJ Jasmine and DJ Raki. They were both kind. While watching and observing what both DJ's are doing, we were like "WOAH! COOL!" It's is really fun watching how they operate and be the voice in a radio station. After Tambayan 101.9, they also entertain us at DZMM particularly the Dr. Love program of Mr. Jun Banaag. Mr. Banaag was so nice, when he's off cam and playing songs he' talking to us and teaching us a little bit of how they do their program. He said to us that he's job is not that easy because he played songs of 60's 70's and 80's, but it's not just as simple as that because he needs to know the mixture of songs that the listeners wanted to hear that's why he's just not playing songs of what he wants. The visit was tiring but It was all worth it. We don't just enjoy enjoy but we also learned something. We love Mass Comm!
